The protective treatment for wood – foam systems

Foam systems for the treatment of wood represent a considerable innovation for treating wooden structural components and walling in situ. In these processes, certified wood treatment compounds are applied as a foam.

This process has the following benefits:

  • Foam has good adherence characteristics and specific transport mechanisms
  • Foam applied to the surface disintegrates slowly, distributing the protective solution over the structure as it does so
  • There is a significant reduction in the use of aerosols
  • There is a considerable reduction in the possibility of damage to surrounding structural components
  • Ceiling structures and cavity spaces can be treated without the need for prior disassembly
  • The required amount for application can be achieved in one operation
