ECB roofing sheets are made from the BASF raw material, lucobit, and have proved to be effective over many years under the severest of weather conditions. Product characteristics are well in advance of DIN 16729 requirements.
The ECB roofing sheets that we apply, from Odenwald Chemie GmbH (O.C.-Plan 3000), are 2mm thick and have an internal fabric layer, meaning that they provide both roof waterproofing and root protection in one product. Waterproofing with this sheeting meets FLL guidelines, and material quality is subject to internal and external checks.
Hot air welding gives consistent seam joins and good welding is recognisable to the eye in the form of seepage of smelted material.
The sheeting can be laid loose or fixed to concrete, wood, insulation boards, or also on existing unsealed coverings.
Other features:
The manufacturer has a wide variety of accessories available such as flashing, corners, penetrations and ventilation units.
ECB roofing sheet is used (in line with DIN 18195 "Structural Waterproofing") for waterproofing balconies, patios, loggias, underground garage/car park areas (also under vegetation), flat roofs (with or without gravel), as well as containers and foundations for earth works.
Though high quality ECB sheeting costs more to buy than bitumen sheet, the overall waterproofing process generally works out cheaper, since only one working operation is needed.
